Taking a Little Break

It’s back-to-school season, and I’ve kind of been in a funk! My husband is a teacher, and while he has been working during the summer, he had shorter days but now he’s back at work for full days. There is always a period of adjustment for me when summer is over, and he’s back teaching. I’m still working from home and have been feeling like I’m stretched a little too thin.

This is why I have not been keeping up with my podcast or posting as much on this blog. My husband and I are also video game YouTubers, and while I really enjoy that, it’s very time consuming constantly coming up with content. I’m also in grad school right now (online), and the workload is fine, but I haven’t been keeping up with my reading like I did a few months ago. I guess, what I’m trying to say is that I need to take a little break. Hopefully not for too long. I am still reading, of course, and I plan to continue to post book reviews! However, I am debating whether to keep my podcast for this blog or not. It’s very time consuming with little metrics to track how well episodes are doing. If you are a fan of book podcasts, let me know! Maybe I just need a bit of inspiration.

I just wanted to give you fellow bookworms an update. I’m still here, and I plan on taking a small break to reset before jumping back into the swing of things. Although there are a ton of books I need to catch up on reading, I’m always on the lookout for recommendations, so if there is a book you’ve enjoyed recently that you think I might like, let me know! Thanks for your support!

  1. I’m not a big fan of podcasts and I know the time they take. I like to read a book review on a blog, even a short one or a compilation of short ones. Have a good break and hope you come back refreshed!
