My October TBR

Happy October! I’ve got a long list of books I’ve bought but haven’t gotten around to reading yet. Here are the books that I plan on reading this month:

“Shadow and Bone” by Leigh Bardugo

I’m not one to read fantasy-type stories, but I’m enjoying getting immersed in this new world Leigh Bardugo has created. It’s a refreshing take on reading about people with powers. However, from what I’ve read, I think the Netflix series was a little more enthralling than the book. But I’m about halfway done, and I don’t want to judge it too quickly!

“Freefall” by Jessica Barry

I had started off liking this book, but now I’m not enjoying it as much. I bought this back in June during our trip to Branson, Missouri. I hope I can finish it, but it may end up a DNF. It’s about a young woman who is trying to survive after a plane crash.

“The Sweetest Remedy” by Jane Igharo

This is my Book of the Month pick from September. I’m trying to hold off on this one until I have finished one or both of the other two books.

I have some other books on my TBR list, but I’m such a slow reader, I think three books is plenty for the month! What’s on your TBR list? If you’ve read any of these books, let me know what you thought of them!

  1. The Sweetest Remedy looks great! I only have about ten books set up that I “need” to read this month, which feels doable. I blogged about them on Friday if you get a chance to pop by – two Anne Tylers, some review books and some NetGalleys but not as many as last month! I also have the next Maya Angelou for my buddy read with my two friends but not sure when we’ll get to that.
